Dear Superintendent of school, State of Florida;

Having a test to cover your entire education is insurmountable. Comprehensive finals can birth anxiety to learners, thereby causing them to do poorly on the test. Since the teachers in the district do not prepare the exams, student maybe ill prepared. They are likely to be examined on material they never been exposed to. This might explain separate wide poor performance on the FCAT exam.
The FCAT, Florida Comprehensive sagacity Test, is quite similar to a comprehensive final. The state of Florida requires humans schools, once a student has reached the third grade to turn back the FCAT. The FCAT tells wither or not you are ready or should move on to the next grade. If you fail the FCAT, making slight than a score of 3, you will be held back. Once in high school you must pass the FCAT to graduate. If one does not pass they will not be eligible to graduate. On the affirmative side, if you dont pass the FCAT the first time, you may take it again before the school year is over. This allows a student to matriculate without delay.




Having been a Florida public school student with the requirement of the FCAT, I strongly feel that the FCAT should be discontinued. The FCAT brings redundant anxiety to students. This anxiety causes students to do poorly. The purpose of the FCAT is to measure student preparedness for higher education. It is suppose to evaluate if a student is academically prepared for higher education. In reality it does not. The FCAT is a measure of ones knowledge base.
Students are often sleep deprive in preparation for standardized test. Some stay up late to prepare. Others become anxious merely due to the examination experience.
