I have decided to critique the flick Quest For Fire in regardeds to its historical accuracy. In the flick Quest For Fire the preface sets the scene as to the immensity of fire to archaean man. Preface- 80,000 years ago, mans survival in a vast uncharted land count oned on the possession of fire. For those early military personnel, fire was an object of great mystery, since no one had master its creation. Fire had to be stolen from nature, it had to be kept alive, sheltered from sheer and rain, guarded from rival tribes. Fire was a symbol of index finger and a means of survival. The tribe who possessed fire, possessed life. During this picture fire is idolized by the Neanderthals and the anatomically modern humans these people till this point only tended to fire/s they already have due to forces of nature such as lightning and volcanoes. These tribes use fire for many reasons other then solely keeping warm.
The Quest For Fire takes place 80,000 years ago. The motion-picture show depicts the tribes of this time as mostly nomadic in the virtuoso that they would move to find fire, and one tribe has permenit living structures plainly because they have mastered fire and dont depend on mother nature to produce the fire undeniable to survive.



In a realistic sense many tribes would be nomadic at the time because the tribes source of food would be from the black marketers and gathers technique simply meaning that the tribe would move erst the surrounding areas food sources were depleted. The movie does not portray these tribes as hunters but more as gathers eating specifys and left all over carcases. Man of this time would not only gather plant foods and left over carcases but they would also actively hunt for small to large size game or heretofore go fishing in rivers and oceans.
The movie shows that the simple tools utilize in this time period is mainly made of woods such as sharpened stick as spears, counterbalance the use of larger tree trunks for clubs.
