The classics of childrens literature, Alices Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll adopt long since sparked literary scholars interest, are widely translated and thought to have been more than what the stories appear to be telling. Lewis Carrolls richly imaginative conjuration stories Alices Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass have earned a account as serious pieces of literature and not just childrens stories. Alices dream-world adventures have since the 1930s been read by many scholars as political, psychological, and philosophical metaphors, and as literary parodies. (Rackin 08). Carroll employ a family agonist to focus these stories on, making them all the more interesting to dissect. In Victorian Literature, such as stories like Carrolls we pour down to see characters dividing and becoming more than what they appear to be.

In general, Victorian literature deals with the issues and problems of the day. Some contemporary issues that the Victorians dealt with include the social, economic, religious, and expert issues and problems surrounding the industrial revolution, growing class tensions, the early womens rightist movement, pressures toward political and social reform, and the impact of Charles Darwins theory of evolution on philosophy and religion. During the Victorian times writers started to write more round people and their internal conflicts.
