The Hunter (Free Verse Poem)

The Hunter Belly to the floor, I watch at the horizon, shimmering in the distance. The wind nark it on through the dry savanna grass, like a down through harvest The reflection of my grasp glistens in the sun. And inwardly my sights lies my prey A beast, a social lion, an incredible catch Hugging the strand I crawl invariably so closer, eluding its senses. And from within my belt I move back a fresh tone arm and silently slide it into place, Like a nipper through flesh With the constant patience of a poised lion I gaze down my glassy sight And retain for a full view. Patience, Patience, Patience, Then, unconscious of the hunter that stalks him, He strides bug out from below his tailing tree, solely pauses, as if to stop and think. Swiftly I decline my aim, until the whirl is clean Now, in complete(a) space and with my prey poised, I blackmail the trigger realising a ray to salvageze all time. Its a good fit with good use of words, scarce i felt that this meter didnt truly combine really well, it kinda sounded like stop-starting only if anyways good work This is a rattling good verse. The metaphors that are utilise are quite excellent. However, legato though it is a free verse poem, I do think that it should still flow similarly to a poem that rhymes. Good effort though.
