Right to Counsel is a effective that everyone has when he or she has committed a crime and he or she is arrested for the crime. Right to Counsel is a privilege and is and should be granted to all citizens. Any accused person has the pickax to invoke the assistance of counsel for their defense. This includes provisions regarding any supposed evil from the time they are taken into police custody. A court appointed attorney is often granted for introductory hearings or for those who are not able to afford counsel. The right to counsel clause was an of the essence(p) aspect of constitutional piece because it assisted in the balance that is present in the criminal justice placement. States are required to make available wakeless counsel as needed for those who have been accused of a criminal act (Sonneborn, 2004).
While the Sixth Amendment has been upheld as positive, when it was written, states were not required to issue counsel for accused.
